1. Introduction
This power tool uses an algorithm based on multiple relationships—including current, magnetism, and force—to control a mechanism equipped with adjustable and torque-limiting features. It enables free programming during the tightening and assembly process, allowing users to freely set parameters such as torque, rotational speed, segmented locking, timing, and rotation direction. The tool generates graphical curves showing the screw-fastening process and stores data in a linked format that can interface with MES systems or even further integrate with factory management systems, thereby achieving high-quality and highly efficient production.
2. Composition and Advantages
The smart electric screwdriver consists of a tool body, an installation base, a telescopic mechanism, and a quick-change bit holder. The tool’s cable interface is a 9-core cable interface with an IP67 protection rating. The PUR flexible cable features high abrasion resistance and can be routed through a drag chain, offering strong anti-interference performance. The output port employs a reliable transmission method with low inertia and minimal torque loss, resulting in higher transmission efficiency. Its structural design ensures effective heat dissipation. However, under high-frequency use conditions, the tool’s temperature should not exceed 50°C.
3. Operating Principle
The tightening control system adopts a master-slave architecture, with its main components including a screw-tightening mechanism, a tool controller, and an industrial PC. The master computer of the control system is an industrial PC that communicates with the slave tool controller in real time via an Ethernet interface. Meanwhile, the tool controller communicates with the smart electric screwdriver through an interface, receiving in real time the motor rotation angle signals fed back from the screwdriver to the tool controller. A torque sensor detects the instantaneous tightening torque applied by the screwdriver and transmits this data in real time via the tool controller’s network cable to the industrial PC.
